Desafio Jovem offers residential care to individuals with life-controlling issues. We utilize the most successful treatment protocol in the world, whose success has been proven for over 49 years in 90 countries with over 400 centers around the world.

Teen Challenge (Desafio Jovem) was founded in 1958 by the Reverend David Wilkerson. From the beginning, the mission of Teen Challenge has been to provide youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society.

By applying biblical principals, Teen Challenge (Desafio Jovem) endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.

 Our efforts to help those suffering include:

• Treatment - 15 month residential program
   
• Intervention - Concerned counseling and community care
   
• Prevention - Drug awareness on the streets, in Churches,
                  in the schools and at local businesses
